Expanding CAT scan from chest to head? How to ask.

I’m going for a Cardiac CT in 1 week, which is covered under my insurance. Is there any way to request, while I’m full of contrast and in the machine, for the CT operator to scan my Neck & Head & provide the data - even on my own nickel? How would you do this to maximize the likelihood of success of the request and perhaps minimize cost?

Background: My aunt died of a brain tumor so I have familial history, I’ve been exposed to various carcinogens through my work. I realize all the reasons why one shouldn’t look for incidental-omas or proto-aneurysms, and I’m aware of the marginal risk for exposure to x-rays (this is a new generation CT, and the dosage is significantly lower than even 5 years ago). But I’m fascinated nonetheless. Assume I want to take these risks.

FWIW History: Late 40’s male. Familial history of late 50’s & 60s Coronary Artery disease. I have high cholesterol and anomalous chestpains (yes I’ve been to the ER and had a cardiac workup). ECG normal, almost zero calcium score, no troponin after pain. Thus I’m having an investigative chest CT with contrast to see if I have any soft (non calcified) plaques.
